Gun control is most definitely a part of the current administration’s goal. In fact, one could say that gun confiscation is the goal and that more gun control laws that lead toward that end are merely steps along the way. But how do they get the people behind them? According to former Attorney General Eric Holder, brainwashing the people is one way. Others have argued that false flag operations are also a means to that end. One of those is actor Steven Seagal, a Second Amendment supporter, claims that “a lot” of the domestic shootings occurring in the United States have been “engineered” in order to orchestrate support for more gun control legislation.
In an interview with Russia Today’s Oksana Boyko, he was asked where he stood on the issue of gun control.
“Well, first of all, I believe in the Second Amendment and the Constitution more than anything in the world,” he said. “Adolph Hitler, for example, when he wanted to annihilate the people of Germany, the first thing he did was take away their guns.”
“The rights to bear arms wasn’t just to protect people from foreign invaders, it was to protect them from evil governments and anyone who would violate their inherent rights as a human being,” Seagal continued. “I believe in the Second Amendment, and I hate to say this, but a lot of these ‘mass murders’ and all this funny stuff that’s going on, a lot of this is engineered.”
He went on to say that he did help children after the Newtown shooting. He corrected Boyko claim that he was teaching them to defend themselves.
“I was teaching what’s called the ‘posse,’ which are sworn officers to come in and defend schools,” he said. “These are people who have had training with firearms. They have had police training, they’re just not on my level.”
Boyko pressed him that something must be done about guns in public schools, something that is ridiculous on its face as schools have been deemed “gun free zones.” The issue is criminals who usually not part of the school or other gun free zone who bring guns there where everyone else’s right to keep and bear their arms are violated and they are left defenseless.
“The most precious gift we have from God is our children,” Seagal responded. “Why can’t we spend money and time to protect our schools and our children? They have armed guards at every bank, at every jewelry store, (…) [and everywhere you go in the world] there’s always armed guards protecting money and jewelry. Why can’t we protect our children?”
I agree that our children are precious gifts from God (Psalm 127). However, because they are, they are also our responsibility to not only protect, but also to teach and train. Therefore, this entire issue of guns in schools and all of this nonsense about infringing on others rights when it comes to guns can be summed up succinctly:
Seagal didn’t explain how he thought mass shootings were engineered or if he though all of them were or not. Either way, the point is the same, if government was doing what it was put in place to do, namely praise the good and punish evildoers (Rom. 13:1-5), then we wouldn’t be having the discussion in the first place. However, I do agree that in many of these mass shootings there remains a lot of questions that many people just haven’t given good answers to.
